Visiting in PA

Been in PA since Tuesday staying at our daughter's house in Mechanicsburg while enjoying being with family. Visited with my 95 year-old aunt in Harrisburg who is doing well considering her age.

Drove to Frackville, PA on Friday to have an early Christmas celebration with my other elderly aunt 93 who is amazing. She continues to live alone and even
drives locally - she drove to the Cracker Barrel where we met for the celebration.

On the return trip from Frackville, there was a short stop at the Hollywood Casino to try and win the big pot. Denise, our daughter, had never been to the casino that is only 20 miles from her home. Guess what? Each lost $10.00.

We're heading back to NC with Audrey at the wheel and will begin to get organized for the FL at the end of the month. There is much to do as we leave for the Sunshine State the earliest ever.

Heading to PA

On the way to PA to visit our daughter and family in Mechanicsburg, PA. We'll also visit my two aunts while in the Keystone State - 93 & 94 years young.

Audrey is behind the wheel as I post this note.

Will return to NC on Sunday to get the coach ready to travel to FL on October 29 for the Winter. Have an appointment at Lazydays on November 1 to have some work done on the Windsor.

Water Everywhere

We finally have seen the days of rain end here in eastern NC. Since Monday we have had over 16 inches of rain. As you can see from the video and the pictures, there is water everywhere. The golf course is one big water hole with our garage being an obstacle to avoid. Two inches of water is flowing through the overhead garage door and out the back door. Needless to say everything had to be moved off the floor.

The new motor home was not without its problems. We discovered a water leak in a couple of place. Nothing that cannot be corrected, but none the less a problem.

The sun is to shine later today which will allow for us to dry out. Thank goodness.

Tuesday we'll be heading to central PA to visit our daughter and her family and my 93 and 94 year-old aunts.
